Drinking your favorite coffee in your truck, car, camper or on your boat?

These customized coffee machines were initially designed for truck drivers who are often on the road. But in the meantime, they have also become popular

for campers and motorists who are often on the road. The only difference is the voltage of the different vehicles. Therefore, below is an overview of the different vehicles for clarification:

Inverters

A battery typically supplies 12 or 24 volts direct current (DC), which is not directly compatible with household appliances designed for 230 volts alternating current (AC). In addition, the DC current from the battery is different from the AC voltage that your home network uses. An inverter converts the 12 or 24 volts DC from the battery to 230 volts AC, so you can safely use your appliances .

What power should the inverter have?

When choosing an inverter for your vehicle or vessel, it is essential to consider the total wattage that your 230 volt devices consume together. Ask yourself; which devices need to be powered and how long do I use them simultaneously per day? It is wise to choose an inverter with a slightly higher power than necessary when you use additional devices. If the total power of the connected devices is higher than the peak power of the inverter, you run the risk of permanently damaging the inverter.

Modified sine wave inverter or pure sine wave inverter?

A pure sine inverter produces a smooth sine wave and delivers power that is identical to that of the wall socket at home. A modified sine inverter approaches this pure sine wave and is often a more cost-effective alternative. In general, most appliances, such as standard coffee makers, microwaves, kettles and televisions, will work without any problems on a modified sine inverter, provided that the power is sufficient. However, not all appliances function optimally on a modified sine inverter. For certain sensitive appliances and electronics, a pure sine inverter is necessary.

A coffee machine in your truck

For truck drivers we have several coffee machines that have been modified with a lower voltage so that they can be used in the cabin in combination with a relatively smaller modified sine wave inverter.

A coffee machine in your car or camper

Do you want a coffee machine in your camper or car so that you can make your own favorite coffee on the way to your holiday destination or while driving the Barrel Challenge or Carbage Run ? Then you normally need a 12V/230V converter. One exception : there are also campers that are equipped with 24V on-board voltage, so always check this carefully before you buy a converter.

A coffee machine on your boat

You can also use one of our adapted Nespresso machines or Senseo coffee machines on the boat. First check carefully which on-board voltage your boat has. If the boat has 12 Volt voltage on board, you will need a 12V/230V converter, if your boat has 24 Volt on-board voltage, you will need a 24V/230V converter to be able to use one of these coffee machines.

Our advice when using a coffee machine on the go

We recommend that you let the truck idle while turning on and warming up the coffee maker when using these sets, as they will draw a fair amount of power from your truck's battery.

Coffee machines at Deltron

The coffee machine models below only work with an inverter! Depending on the voltage on board your vehicle or vessel, you will need a 12V-230V or 24V–230V modified sine inverter. Depending on the coffee machine model, the wattage must be at least 1000 Watts to 1500 Watts. And the inverters must be equipped with at least one power outlet.
