New generation of personal safety

The Plegium range consists of highly advanced personal alarm buttons and self-defense sprays that are a good replacement for the pepper spray that is banned in the Netherlands. The sprays with Bluetooth technology and app function that, in case of emergency, warns your contacts are at the very least innovative.

Red dye and UV marking

All legal Plegium self-defense sprays come with a magnetic key ring and contain a red dye and UV marking fluid, this dye and marking will end up on the attacker when used in a targeted manner, making identification by the police easier.

The sprays equipped with Bluetooth can be connected to the free* app in which you can set up to five contacts who will be notified when you use the spray.

Strobe LED and siren

In addition, there are a number of Plegium defense sprays that are equipped with a strobe LED and a siren with a power of 130 dB. These are activated as soon as the spray is used. The strobe LED ensures disorientation for the attacker and the siren makes a deafening sound so that the attention of any bystanders in the wide area is attracted.

Free App

Once you have received your Plegium self-defense spray or personal alarm button, you can download the Plegium app for free in the App store or Playstore (iOS or Android) and you can pair the app with your pepper spray or alarm button using a Bluetooth connection. You can set up to 5 contacts in the app who will be alerted as soon as you use the alarm button or defense spray. These contacts do not need to install or set anything on their phone. It is of course important that you inform the set contacts of the fact that you have set them up on your Plegium app.

Alerts to contacts

As soon as you use your alarm button or peMepper spray, the contacts you have set will receive a phone call and a message containing a map with the exact GPS location.

Personal alarm button from Plegium

The Plegium Smart Emergency Button is a superior, portable silent alarm button that calls the set contacts via the free app and sends a message with a map and the exact GPS location. You do not have to take out a subscription when purchasing and using a Plegium self-defense spray, but it is possible to take out a Premium subscription with 24/7 professional monitoring service, in-app panic button, live GPS tracking and more. When purchasing a Plegium product, you will receive the premium subscription for 1 month for free to try. 

All you need to do if you have purchased a personal alarm button is to download the free Plegium app from the Google Play Store or the App Store, connect the alarm button to the app via Bluetooth, set up the contacts in the app and the alarm button is ready to use. A very small blue LED will be visible in the alarm button so that you are always reassured that it works.

Using the personal alarm button

The activation buttons are located on the side of the Plegium emergency button. If you hold these for 2 seconds, the alarm button will be activated and it will warn the contacts you have set.

Battery life

Pepper spray and personal alarm buttons are supplied with a battery as standard. The battery of the self-defense spray lasts for about 2 years and the battery of the personal alarm buttons lasts for about 4 years.

Plegium app without subscription

All Plegium Smart personal alarm products include the free Plegium app for both iOS and Android devices, which you can use to set up selected contacts to be alerted when the alarm button is pressed. When purchasing a Plegium smart product, you can enjoy one month of free Plegium Premium subscription, which includes 24/7 professional monitoring, real-time GPS tracking, and direct audio feeds. After this period, you can choose to upgrade to a Premium subscription or continue using the free service only.
