The AOR AS-5001 is an automatic antenna switching unit that adds inputs 3 and 4. The selection of the control is automatic or manual by front panel. The AOR AS-5001 is also compatible with AOR AR-5000 series and AOR AR-ALPHA receivers. This AS-5001 antenna switch from AOR is designed to operate up to 3.5 GHz with low insertion loss while maintaining a circuit impedance of 50 ohms.
Connecting the AS-5001 (based on AR5001D receiver)
The AOR AS-5001 antenna switching unit is connected to the ANT1 connection of the receiver and the control signal is taken from ACC2. AS5001 gives access to ANT1, 3 and 4 via the ANT1 connection of the receiver. The ANT2 connection remains unaffected. (Note: In any case a shortwave antenna must be connected to the ANT2 connection of the receiver)
