BHi Compact In-Line DSP module

This compact In-Line DSP noise canceling module from BHi can be used both mobile (with two AA batteries) and at home (with DC power cable).

Mono and stereo signals:

The lightweight and compact BHI DSP noise reduction module is made of impact-resistant black ABS plastic, making it suitable for mobile use. The unit is easy to set up and accepts both mono and stereo signals on the input and you can connect headphones or speakers to the output so you can enjoy your listening experience straight away. This intuitive micro-process or controlled unit has two rotary encoders with push buttons that perform all functions, allowing you to quickly and easily change the settings in "real time" to suit your current operating conditions.

Audio processing performance

The high-quality and powerful audio processing system and the unique DSP noise reduction algorithm can distinguish the speech from the noise and interference in the audio signal. This results in clearly intelligible speech under most conditions and works especially well on weak signals.

Conclusions
This Compact In-Line Module can be powered by a separate 12V DC power supply using the supplied fused DC power cable (a plug-in DC requires a 2.1mm to 1.3mm adapter plug), or by two (2) AA Alkaline or NiMH batteries for mobile mobile use. Input connections are made via the separate 3.5mm speaker level and line level audio inputs. The output jack can drive stereo headphones, a mono speaker, or a pair of active stereo speakers.

Control of all functions
Microprocessor controlled by two rotary encoders with push buttons. The device can be adjusted in "real time" to your own noisy conditions. The “Power/Volume” control turns the device on and off and adjusts the audio volume. The "Filter Level" control adjusts the filter level in "real time", allowing you to quickly respond to changing conditions. Press the filter button to hear the difference! You can also choose between a single mono signal or stereo mode. The Compact In-Line is especially useful for portable/mobile use as it can be powered by 2 x AA batteries. The device is suitable for use on all radios and receivers and software-defined radios (SDR), including Elecraft and FlexRadio products.

Audio boost

Why not boost your reception sound one step further and use one of our EQ20 10W parametric equalizer units with your Compact In-Line. Simply connect the "Phones Out" signal to the EQ20's input and connect your passive speaker or headphones to the EQ20's output. You can tailor your audio to your own hearing. This is especially useful if you suffer from hearing loss.
