The BHI ParaPro EQ20B adapts your audio to your ears! The BHI ParaPro EQ20B is unique to the BHI ParaPro EQ20 but with Bluetooth function. This module provides greatly improved audio sound for people with hearing loss. This new BHI ParaPro EQ20B has a 20Watt modular audio amplifier with a parametric equalizer. This parametric equalizer makes it possible to select and adjust each specific part of the frequency range in strength.
The BHI ParaPro EQ20B is housed in a rugged ABS housing.
User-friendly operation
The EQ20B is housed in a high quality compact ABS enclosure. There are controls for Power/Volume along with two parametric equalizer adjustment controls labeled Bass and Treble, with the center bass frequency adjustable from 100Hz to 1kHz and Treble from 1kHz to 10kHz. When used together these controls provide two bands of ±10dB adjustment from 100Hz all the way up to 10kHz.
Benefits of parametric equalization
Unlike standard tone controls, graphic equalization, and EQ presets, a parametric equalizer allows you to select the precise frequency you want to adjust. This allows you to boost or cut the selected frequency, giving you much more flexibility and precision in tuning the sound to your own hearing. This is especially beneficial for people with hearing loss.
Use with your existing bhi DSP noise reduction unit
The ParaPro EQ20B Unit is ideal for use with the bhi Dual In-Line, Compact In-Line and NEIM1031MKII DSP noise cancelling units, allowing you to fine-tune the processed audio for greater clarity and intelligibility. It can also be used with the bhi DESKTOP & DSPKR DSP noise cancelling speakers via the front headphone jack.
Bluetooth connectivity
The built-in Bluetooth connectivity on the input effectively turns the EQ20B into a Bluetooth speaker, allowing audio to be played through the device from a Bluetooth audio source such as an MP3 player or Bluetooth radio.
Mono or stereo inputs
You can connect one or two mono inputs to the input jacks CH1 and CH2, or a stereo signal from an SDR radio, shortwave receiver, MP3 player, etc. via the stereo input.
Choice of outputs and connections
Connect passive speakers to the left and right "Speaker Outputs" using the 4mm banana plugs or phono to 3.5mm mono adaptors provided. Use the "Source Select" button on the front panel to select the desired audio. Note: Powered speakers can be used with one of our LLC-1 Line Level Converter boxes which have audio isolation transformers inside to protect the Class D amplifier stage on the EQ20B Unit.
