The Comet GP-1N is a compact, high-gain dual-band base antenna for the 144 MHz and 430 MHz frequencies. Thanks to the wide frequency coverage of 100 - 170 MHz and 350 - 470 MHz, this antenna is not only ideal for transmitting, but also for broadband reception.
Using the innovative Comet SLC (Super Linear Converter) system, this antenna offers low loss and high efficiency, greatly improving performance over standard dual and triple band antennas. The Air-Core Type Shaping Element Phase System and the phosphor bronze elements reduce signal loss at phase shifts, resulting in a more stable and powerful signal.
The fully factory-tuned construction eliminates the need for tuning, and the fiberglass housing ensures long life and complete waterproofness. For those who want full-duplex communication, the Comet GP-1N is compatible with a Comet duplexer.

The Comet GP series are one of the best in the market using Comet's SLC system. The SLC system is an advanced mechanism developed originally by Comet in order to greatly improve the gain on Dual and Triple band antennas. Through the implementation of the Air-Core Type Shaping Element Phase System and the Phosphor Bronze Element the loss during the existing Phase Shift Peak has been substantially reduced.
Completely factory tuned and no adjustment is necessary. The fiberglass construction assures long durability and is fully water resistance.
