The Comet RS-840 is the strongest trunk/hatchback antenna mount in the Comet range. This heavy-duty mount is designed for maximum strength and reliability, even when used with larger antennas.
What makes this bracket unique is the extra support lip that falls over the opening of the trunk edge . This reinforces the mounting and keeps the antenna firmly in place, without unwanted movement. Please note that the surface over the opening must be flush with the mounting surface, so that the support lip can rest optimally.
Once the mount is properly adjusted and the antenna is vertical, the mounting position is secured with a bolt clamp mechanism. This prevents any slipping or shifting, while the rubber pad protects your car's paint.
