The CRT SS-8900 is a powerful and versatile mobile transceiver, designed as the successor to the SS-7900V Turbo. This compact device, with a significantly reduced mounting depth from 280 mm to 230 mm, offers advanced functionality and improved performance in a smaller housing. The special feature is that the CRT SS 8900 offers the possibility of reception on the VHF band (2M).

- Transmitting Power : Up to 60 Watts PEP in AM mode, 50 Watts in FM, and 60 Watts PEP in SSB, with adjustable power levels to meet your communication needs. VHF receiver FM: 136 – 174 Mhz
- Frequency Range : Supports AM, FM, SSB (28 - 29.7 MHz) and has a VHF receiver for reception in the 2 meter band (136 - 174 MHz). Via optional programming software, frequencies in the VHF band can be stored for reception.
- Enhanced functionality : equipped with a VOX function, a 5 kHz step size for precise frequency settings, and a modern NRC filter for excellent noise rejection.
- LCD display : large and clear, for easy reading of frequencies and settings.
- USB Programming Port : The "DATA" port on the back allows the device to be programmed via a USB programming cable. Be careful not to use a conventional USB cable as this may damage the device.
- Compact Design : The newly designed PCB and ultra-compact size make the SS-8900 ideal for installation in limited spaces.
