The combination consists of a Diamond SLM cable that is routed from the antenna to the inside of the vehicle and is attached on the inside to a thicker cable, the DQM, DQN, DQSM or a DQSMF cable

• SLM: thin 3mm cable for outdoor use with PL connection

• SLN: thin 3mm cable for outdoor use with N-bus

• DQM: Thick 7.5mm cable for indoor use with PL plug

• DQN: thick 7.5mm cable for indoor use with N-connector

Diamond DQM and SLM cable combine

The Diamond DQM antenna cable is thicker and comes on the transceiver side and you can combine and connect it to a thin SLM antenna cable that you can lead through the trunk, window or door rubber.

Select the thickest DQM-xx cable with a diameter of 7.5 mm, leading to the transceiver. To keep the attenuation as low as possible, select the outer (thinnest) cable length as short as possible and the inner (thicker) cable length.

To use the Diamond antenna holder, take a thin SLM cable or SLN cable, these have a diameter of 3 mm. This is the cable that can be led through the window rubber, door rubber or trunk rubber of a vehicle. Once inside the vehicle, connect the SLM or SLN cable to a thicker antenna cable of the DQM or DQN type, these have a diameter of 7 mm and are connected to the transceiver in the vehicle.

Connection advice

To keep damping as low as possible we advise you to choose to keep the thin outer cable as short as possible and the thick inner cable as long as necessary. The result is a very good compromise between damping and ease of installation in the vehicle.
