Two-piece antenna cable



With this system, each cable consists of two pieces that are connected in the middle with a high-quality connector. One part of the cable is a low loss antenna cable that is connected to the second part which is a thinner cable that is also of high quality. At the end of the second part, the thinner cable, there is an SO-239 (UHF-Female) connector to which the antenna can be connected. The advantage of the thinner cable is that it is much easier to guide through a rubber of the trunk, door or window of a car or other vehicle. Once in the vehicle, the first, thicker part is connected to this cable and this thicker cable is connected to the transceiver in the vehicle.



The big advantage of using this new antenna cable system is that you can get the antenna side of the cable into the car more easily via a rubber, you can determine the total length of the antenna cable yourself by choosing from the different cables and if you replace the antenna or transceiver you only need to replace one part of the antenna cable if necessary.
