The Diamond X-6000 (N) VHF base antenna is a versatile and robust omnidirectional antenna, ideal for the FM band. Known for its durability and excellent performance, this antenna is suitable for frequencies of 144/430/1200 MHz (2m/70cm/23cm) . At 3.05 meters long and with a solid construction, the X-6000 is designed to provide years of reliable service, even in rough conditions.
Construction and durability:
The Diamond X-6000 is constructed with anodized cast aluminum at the base, a UV resistant FRP fiber reinforced plastic outer tube , and a brass/copper bronze internal radiator. These materials provide a rugged construction that can withstand harsh weather conditions and wind speeds of up to 90 mph (144 km/h). The antenna is electrically grounded to reduce static and noise in the receiver.
Installation and assembly:
The antenna is easy to install and comes with a mounting tube and all necessary clamps and U-bolts for attachment to a mast. This mounting tube protects the coaxial connection from external influences, which further extends the life of the antenna.
