The cable is routed from the antenna mount to the radio and the female mini-UHF connector fits through an opening of only 11 mm (7/16") in diameter. Once the cable reaches the radio, installation is simple: screw on the included mini-UHF/PL-259 adapter and then attach the PL-259 connector to the radio antenna mount. No soldering or tools required.
