Grazioli MV6

The Grazioli MV6 is a vertical multiband 1/4 Wave Ground Plane basic antenna for the 20, 17, 15, 12, 10 and 6 meter HAM bands. The MV6 has an extremely robust construction of AW6063-T66 aluminum alloy and CNC-machined parts. The Grazioli MV6 comes with a high-quality 304 and 316 stainless steel mounting kit for a long rust-free life. The Grazioli MV6 has a high input power of up to 3 kW continuous All-mode. The MV6 is supplied with a detailed installation manual and has its own serial number so that the production batch and construction details can be identified.

The Grazioli MV6 consists of a central radiator for the lower 20m band, flanked by 4 side radials resonating on the higher 17, 15, 12, 10 + VHF 6m bands. The antenna is powered directly without the use of adapters or transformers, which could cause losses and limit the applicable power. The Grazioli MV6 base antenna is equipped with a high-impedance inductance to avoid DC short circuits that could cause any interference caused by atmospheric events and/or electrostatic discharges. The calibration of the MV6 is done by adjusting the telescopic parts of the radials and the central antenna, each frequency is independent and does not affect the other bands, except the 17m band, which also affects the resonance of the 6m band determines: we recommend using a graphical antenna analyzer such as RigExpert, which makes the calibration a lot easier.

The MV6 connector is not a commercial SO-239 type connector as supplied by most manufacturers, but is a connector designed and manufactured by Grazioli. This connector has a true impedance of 50 Ohm and can be used up to 500 MHz. The goal was to create a reliable connector that can withstand 5kW CW continuously at 30 MHz. The body is made of CW614N nickel-plated brass, while the pin is composed of 24K plated gold to prevent oxidation and equipped with a 4-fin insulator that maintains its centering and elasticity, avoiding contact losses. The insulating part is made of PTFE, one of the best insulating materials.

The mounting bracket of the Grazioli MV6 is made of 2.5 mm thick AISI304 stainless steel and is attached to the antenna tube using a clamp locking system, creating an extremely strong mechanical lock. Attachment to the mast is made with AISI304 M6 V-bolt and high type nuts to facilitate tightening.
