Icom IC-F5022 VHF

The IC-F5022 from ICom is a compact and robust mobile VHF transceiver. This transceiver provides reliable mobile communication and is also compatible with the ICom MDC-1200.

The IC-F5022 series offers multiple signaling, advanced scanning, enhanced remote channel control and wide frequency coverage packed into a compact body. 128 memory channels

128 channels (max.) divided into 8 memory zones. Memory channels can be identified by the 8-character channel name and easily selected by the up/down buttons.

Front speaker

The 4 watt front speaker delivers clear and loud sound. With the speaker facing the operator, the sound is heard clearly and without obstruction during use.

Programmable buttons

A pair of up/down and P0-P3 function assignable buttons let you customize functions to specific needs. An independent volume knob provides simple, easy operation.

MIL quality

The sturdy die-cast aluminum chassis and polycarbonate front panel are tested to MIL 810F standard. With this robust construction, the IC-F5022 series provides reliable long-term operation in a variety of harsh environments.

Built-in signals

Use the built-in 2-Tone, 5-Tone, CTCSS and DTCS capabilities as standard to set up your own talk groups, PTT ID and silent standby when others are talking. The IC-F5022 series has added high speed CTCSS/DTCS decoding.

2-tone and 5-tone

Up to ten 2-Tone and eight 5-Tone codes can be decoded on a channel. When a matching tone is received, the following items are:

• Beep sound
• Reply back
• Scan
• Call icon
• Radio stun/kill/revive

The radio kill/stun features disable a lost or stolen radio over the air, eliminating security threats from unwanted listeners. When the stun command is received, all functions are temporarily locked out until the revive command is received or the unlock password is entered.

Lone worker function

If the radio is not operated for a preset period of time, a beep will sound and you will have to press any button. If the radio is still not operated for a certain waiting time, an emergency signal will be sent automatically and colleagues will be informed that something may have happened to the individual employee.

Mode dependent scan

In the mode dependent setting, the scan setting depends on the operating channel. When you change the operating channel, the scan list automatically changes to the list set for that channel. It is convenient when you move to another working area and change the working channel, you do not need to change the scan setting.

TX channel setting and talk back function

Tx Channel setting allows you to program a transmission channel while scanning. Start channel, last detected channel, priority and preset channel are selectable. Before Tx channel setting, talk back function allows you to talk on the last detected channel, while scanning will resume after a preset time. This function allows user to easily respond quickly.

Wide frequency coverage

The IC-F5022 series covers a wide frequency range in one version (VHF 136– 174, UHF 400–470 MHz).

Optional indoor stations

The IC-F5022 series has a 40-pin option slot for adding an optional internal unit. Optional voice scrambler units, UT-109R or UT-110R, provide secure, private conversations.

External memory channel control with optional ACC cable

The optional OPC-1939 D-SUB 15-pin ACC cable allows the IC-F5022 series to be programmed to operate a control channel from an external device (up to 16 pre-programmed channels). The ACC connector also provides ignition detection function, external PTT, PC command, horn, audio output and modulated signal input depending on programming.
