With the LightHound dog harness from Noxgear, you don't have to worry about that.  This harness is equipped with bright LED lighting all around, making your dog visible up to a distance of approximately 400 meters, even during the darkest part of the night, although this does of course depend on the environment and weather conditions.

Dog harness for daily use

The LightHound LED dog harness is designed to be durable and comfortable and is available in four sizes so that there is always a fit for your dog. The basic harness is made of high-quality military-grade Cordura© and is adjustable for the chest and at the bottom of the chest behind the right front leg. The LightHound harness is resistant to most strong dogs that sometimes like to pull on the leash. The basic harness (without control panel and light tubes) is also washable by hand or in the washing machine on a short delicate wash program of 30 degrees.

At the top of the harness is an extra strong v-shaped loop with a steel ring. You can attach your dog leash, dog lead or Noxgear reflective dog lead to this ring.

Control panel

The control panel allows you to easily control the different light settings such as the eight constant burning colors pink, purple, turquoise, yellow, green, red, blue and the six dynamic lighting modes vary in pulse, wave, color shift, cycle and chase modes. In short, you can choose from different lighting options to make your dog stand out in the dark.

Battery status indicator

On the control panel, under the charging point or power logo, the battery indicator keeps you informed of the battery status so you can go out with peace of mind. When the indicator LED flashes red during use, the battery indicates that it needs to be charged. The battery will start flashing at the grid from the red LED, approximately 10 minutes to 20 minutes to provide the harness with lighting.  When you get home, put the dog harness on the charger with the supplied micro-usb/USB charging cable, the red LED will remain lit continuously during charging. As soon as the battery is charged, a green LED will be lit continuously.

Convenience and safety with the LightHound LED dog harness

Thanks to the silicone cap that you use to close the mini-USB port on the control panel, the panel will be splash-proof and resistant to rain, hail, snow, dirt and fog. However, we must mention that the LightHound dog harness is NOT waterproof and therefore not suitable for dogs that like to take a dip in the water, whereby the control panel is submerged in water. Do you want your dog to swim? Then take off the LightHound dog harness early. Do you want your dog to wear something to hold on to while swimming? Then put an extra collar on your dog so that you can leave it on while swimming, so that you can grab your dog by its collar in case of emergency.

Remark

However, we would like to report a small disadvantage to take into account: when you have a dog leash or bungee line (hands-free walking) attached to the steel ring of the LightHound harness, the harness can sometimes shift slightly to the right or left while walking, depending on which side your dog is walking in front of you. This does not affect the functioning and visibility of the dog harness. We recommend not to attach the harness too tightly and uncomfortably to the dog. This shifting is normal due to the movement of the dog, the fur and the smooth material of the harness.

Additional information

• If you do not use the LightHound for a period of time, we recommend that you put the LightHound harness on the charger once every two weeks to maintain the battery.
