The Midland CT590-S has besides the traditional scan function also the CTCSS and DCS function. You can also receive your favorite FM radio stations with the Midland CT590S. The Midland CT590S has 128 storage channels.

The Midland CT590 S is the new Dualband amateur radio. The device is easy to use and ideal for those who have a "standard" device but at the same time want to be complete with different functions. The Midland CT590S VHF/UHF transceiver is a robust and reliable VHF/UHF transceiver with an aluminum chassis. The CT590S operates on the 144 - 148 MHz on UHF and 439 0 440Mhz on the VHF band.

In addition, the Midland CT590S is equipped with a built-in flashlight and an FM radio receiver from 87.5 to 108Mhz and 50 CTCSS tones and 208 DCS codes with which you can create "subchannels" to communicate with a small group of people. You can also customize your ID (ANI-ID) with the CT590 S and send it during transmission (PTT-ID). The LCD screen has 3 different colors of backlight.

The Midland CT590S can be programmed with the optional PRG-10 software to set and adjust various functions such as number of channels, frequencies, etc.
