The RigExpert AA-1500 ZOOM is a high-quality antenna analyzer with Bluetooth functionality, perfect for measuring SWR (standing wave ratio), return loss, cable loss and other important parameters of cable and antenna systems. It offers a wide frequency range from 100 kHz to 1500 MHz. The built-in ZOOM function allows graphic measurements to be carried out very accurately and in detail. The AA-1500 also features an integrated Time Domain Reflectometer mode, which helps detect faults in the system. Thanks to the Bluetooth Low Energy module, the analyzer can connect wirelessly to a PC, laptop, tablet or smartphone. The AA-1500 ZOOM analyzer can perform a variety of antenna and cable analyses, making it an essential tool for both radio amateurs and communications professionals.
Checking an antenna
- Tuning an antenna for resonance
- Comparison of characteristics of an antenna before and after a specific event (rain, hurricane, etc.)
- Create coaxial stubs* or measure their parameters
- Cable testing and fault location, measuring cable loss and characteristic impedance
- Measuring capacitance or inductance of reactive loads
*In microwave and radio frequency engineering, a stub or resonant stub is a piece of cable or waveguide that is connected at only one end. Stubs are commonly used in antenna impedance matching circuits, frequency selective filters, and resonant circuits for UHF electronic oscillators and RF amplifiers. An electronic oscillator is an electronic circuit that produces a periodic, oscillating electronic signal, often a sine wave or a square wave or a triangle wave. Oscillators convert direct current (DC) from a power supply into an alternating current (AC) signal.
