The RigExpert AA-1500 ZOOM is a high-performance antenna analyzer with Bluetooth functionality, perfect for measuring SWR (Standing Wave Ratio), return loss, cable loss and other important parameters of cable and antenna systems. It offers a wide frequency range from 100 kHz to 1500 MHz. The built-in ZOOM function allows for highly accurate and detailed graphical measurements. The AA-1500 also has an integrated Time Domain Reflectometer mode, which helps to locate faults in the system. Thanks to the Bluetooth Low Energy module, the analyzer can connect wirelessly to a PC, laptop, tablet or smartphone. The AA-1500 ZOOM analyzer can perform a wide range of antenna and cable analyses, making it an essential tool for both radio amateurs and communications professionals.
Checking an antenna
- Tuning an antenna to resonance
- Comparison of characteristics of an antenna before and after a specific event (rain, hurricane, etc.)
- Making coaxial stubs* or measuring their parameters
- Cable testing and fault location, measuring cable loss and characteristic impedance
- Measuring capacitance or inductance of reactive loads
*In microwave and radio frequency engineering, a stub or resonant stub is a length of cable or waveguide that is connected at only one end. Stubs are often used in antenna impedance matching circuits, frequency selective filters, and resonant circuits for UHF electronic oscillators and RF amplifiers. An electronic oscillator is an electronic circuit that produces a periodic, oscillating electronic signal, often a sine wave or a square wave or a triangle wave. Oscillators convert direct current (DC) from a power supply to an alternating current (AC) signal.
Connector type:
Output signal shape: square, 0.1 to 200 MHz. For higher frequencies, harmonics of the main signal are used.
Output power: -10 dBm (at 50 Ohm load)
Power supply
Three 1.2V, 1800…3000 mAh, Ni-MH batteries, type AA
Up to 3 hours of continuous measurement, max. 2 days in standby mode when using fully charged batteries
When the analyzer is connected to a PC or a DC adapter with a USB connection, it receives power from these sources
