The Sigma G5RV Full Size HF Wire Antenna is a versatile antenna for both transmitting and receiving on the HF amateur bands, covering 80m to 10m. With a total length of 31 meters (102 ft) this antenna offers excellent performance over a wide range of frequencies.
Installation and use:
For optimum performance, the antenna should be fed with a high quality 50 Ohm coaxial cable, recommended to be 13.7 meters or 27.4 meters (45 or 90 ft) in length. The ribbon cable should hang down and form an integral part of the radiating antenna. Mount the antenna as high as possible, either horizontally or in an inverted V, with the center at least 11 meters (36 ft) from the ground.
