- Dual-Band Compatibility: The DBA-270 is dual-band antenna compatible and improves signal reception on both the 2 meter and 70 cm bands. For monoband antennas, an antenna switch is required.
- Split band design: Prevents interference between the two frequency bands by using separate amplifier stages with diplexer circuits.
- Automatic Transmit/Receive Switching (VOX): Automatically switches between transmit and receive, with a maximum switchable power of 100 watts in VOX mode. For higher powers a sequencer is used.
- Remote Power: Can be powered remotely via coaxial cable or locally via UHF connection.
- Impedance Protection: Input and output circuits are optimized for an exact 50 ohm impedance, which is essential for the performance of modern narrowband antennas.
