The SSB SP200 is a low-noise and large signal-resistant (mast) preamplifier for the 2M amateur band. The SP200 has a coaxial relay for sending and receiving. When using a sequence control, the maximum transmission power is: 750Watt PEP and 500Watt CW / FM / WSJT.

This SSB SP200 amplifier can be powered remotely via the coaxial cable via its power output. Alternatively, the local power supply can be provided via the UHF connector with a separate cable. When using the VOX circuit, this amplifier must have a permanent power supply during operation. It can be delivered locally or remotely. In VOX mode, the maximum transmit power should not exceed 200W PEP and 100W CW/FM/WSJT.

The input and output of this amplifier are protected with amplitude limiters to ensure a high degree of operational reliability. The amplifier's input and output circuits have an impedance of exactly 50 Ohms with very low imaginary components. This ensures that the antenna system is loaded with real 50 Ohms and that the parameters of the system are not changed.

With the currently most widely used highly optimized narrowband antennas, it is very important that they are terminated with real 50 Ohm. Mismatching at the input of the preamplifier used can lead to a change in the parameters of such antennas, causing loss of gain and changes in directivity.

The SP 200 has a UV-resistant, weather-resistant housing and N-connector. Hot-dip galvanized stainless steel clamps and mounting hardware are included.
