The Whistler WS1040 is an advanced digital handheld scanner capable of scanning most common radio signal formats including Motorola, EDACS, LTR and P25 trunked radio networks. • Spectrum sweeper: This feature quickly searches for transmissions within the scanner's frequency range and allows you to eliminate unwanted frequencies.
• Skywarn storm spotter feature: Get instant access to storm watch frequencies and stay informed about dangerous weather conditions before they are announced by the media or emergency services. (Available in the U.S. only.)
• Multiple Power Options: Power the scanner via batteries (rechargeable or non-rechargeable), external AC power (with included adapter), or DC power (adapter not included).
