Yaesu DR-2EX

The Yaesu DR-2XE is a digital C4FM/FM and conventional dual-mode VHF and UHF amateur band repeater. The DR-2X repeater combines conventional FM operation with digital C4FM communications using the unique Yaesu AMS capabilities.

C4FM offers excellent audio quality
C4FM Digital has better BER (Bit Error Rate) characteristics compared to other digital modulation systems and guarantees reliable communication over long distances. The YAESU C4FM digital Clear Voice technology with a bandwidth of 12.5 kHz enables high-quality voice communication.
System Fusion enables communication between all users with different modes. This is made possible in System Fusion from AMS. The AMS function automatically recognizes a received C4FM digital or conventional FM signal, after which the DR-2X repeater retransmits the signal in the preset communication mode.

Double reception function
The unique simultaneous dual receive repeater DR-2X allows the control operator to assign an additional frequency for controlling the repeater, sending emergency messages or simply a second uplink frequency. The control operator can also assign separate downlink frequencies according to the uplink frequencies.

Digital group ID function
The revolutionary Yaesu Group ID feature allows multiple sources to be tracked quickly and efficiently by displaying the telemetry and signal strength information of the members who share the same Digital Group Identification number.

• DG-ID (Digital Group Identification): A group ID from 0 to 99 can be assigned for use by the operators participating in the group communication. Also, the Multi-Site Repeater transmissions can be controlled by the DG-ID.
• DP-ID (Digital Personal Identification): For secure repeater operation, a unique ID can be registered on the repeater for individual operator identification. The DP-ID function can be used to restrict repeater access to the registered ID members.

IMRS (Internet-linked Multi-site Repeater System)
The IMRS (Internet-linked Multi-site Repeater System) allows the repeater user to link multiple repeaters via a Wide Area Network (WAN) or a Local Area Network (LAN). Due to the reliability and shortcomings inherent in WAN (Wide Area Network) connections such as the Internet, the new DR-2X includes direct connectivity between repeaters, enabling a variety of network environments, and providing high-quality digital communications, even when 'all else fails'. ” The activation of the Repeater can be controlled via a Digital Group. And the large color touchscreen allows easy configuration of frequency settings and functions.
