Yaesu FT-5DE

The Yaesu FT-5DE is a fully featured C4FM radio with superior operation and new advanced features. Even in a compact 62 x 101 x 34mm housing, the FT-5DE delivers reliable 5Watt RF output power and achieves a loud 1Watt audio power tuned for quality audio. Real Dual Band Operations (V+V, U+U, V+U, U+V) are available with two independent receivers. Large individual LED indicators for A-band and B-band instantly display the status and communication modes (C4FM or analog) of each band. The new FT5-DE simultaneously supports C4FM digital (C4FM/C4FM standby).

Robust construction

With rubber protection on the corner of the main body, the FT5-DE has a robust and shock-resistant construction. The water resistance is IPx7. The comfortable size and shape of the completely flat back provide excellent grip for the radio operator.

High resolution screen

A high-resolution display highlights the operating band frequency. The color of the working band frequency can be selected from white, blue or red. Three (3) touch keys and seven (7) control keys below the display provide intuitive operation.

Touch & Go controls

The new Touch & Go control is useful for immediately starting communication on a frequently used frequency. By pressing and holding the "PMG" key, the frequency of the current playback is recorded in the primary memory group. If you press the “PMG” key after registration, the reception status of the registered frequencies will be displayed as bars in a graph (activity monitor). By simply touching the displayed bar, the user can instantly recall that frequency.

Band range

Band Scope feature monitors in real time up to 79 displayed channels centered around the current VFO frequency. The center frequency can be tuned using the rotary knob or by touching and moving the frequency of a displayed channel bar.

C4FM digital clear voice

The C4FM digital communication features that are already popular in the market, such as: Automatic Mode Select (AMS), Digital Group ID (DG-ID) control and Smart Navigation function are available with the new FT5-DE.

WiRES-X

The Yaesu FT-5DE also supports the WiRES-X Portable Digital Node function. A portable digital node can be easily set up with the new FT-5DE, an internet-connected laptop PC and the optional SCU-39 cable kit.

Quick release holster

The new Quick Release Holster (SHB-26) is included in the FT-5DE package as an included accessory that allows one-touch attachment and detachment of the transceiver while the holster is worn on a belt.
