The Yaesu FT-DX101D is a compact HF/50MHz 100 Watt SDR transceiver, equipped with a latest generation 7-inch (17.78 cm) TFT color display.
Narrow band SDR
The Yaesu FT-DX101D narrowband SDR receiver removes strong out-of-band signals by using a superheterodyne method, supported by narrowband roofing filters. These filters significantly attenuate unwanted frequency components. The desired signals are converted to digital by an 18-bit high-resolution A/D converter and fed to an FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) for further signal processing.
Quiet and clear reception
The FT-DX101D features an ultra-low noise local oscillator system thanks to the 400 MHz HRDDS (High Resolution Direct Digital Synthesizer). The VC-Tune RF Preselector, with its precision stepping motor drive, provides excellent damping characteristics, ensuring clear and interference-free reception.
High transmission signal purity
The Yaesu FT-DX101D provides excellent C/N characteristics by using the 400 MHz HRDDS in the local oscillator circuit. This contributes significantly to the transmitter performance. The transmit signal is generated directly by a 16-bit D/A converter without using a mixer circuit, which significantly reduces distortion and noise.
New generation scoop display
The 3DSS (3-Dimensional Spectrum Stream) system on the Yaesu FT-DX101D provides intuitive insight into signal changes in addition to a conventional waterfall display, displayed on a 7-inch color TFT panel.
Active Band Indicator (ABI)
The Active Band Indicator uses LED lighting to show which band is selected. A white LED indicates the MAIN band, a blue LED indicates the SUB band, and a red LED shows the transmit status of the selected VFO.
Multi-purpose VFO outer dial (MPVD)
The Multi Purpose VFO Outer Dial is a high quality aluminum ring around the VFO dial. This ring allows operation of the SUB VFO frequency selector, VC-TUNE, Clarifier and C/S (Custom Select Function) without removing the hand from the VFO.
PC remote control software
The Yaesu FT-DX101D can be controlled remotely via PC software, available for LAN or Internet, provided the external LAN unit is present.
