Yaesu FTA-750L

The Yaesu FTA-750L is an easy-to-use portable airband transceiver. With this Yaesu FTA-750L you can extensively monitor aviation communications and aircraft communications due to the many ingenious functions that this transceiver has, such as; 66-channel GPS receiver, extra large full dot matrix LCD screen, VOR and ILS navigation functions on the 'NAV' band and Waypoint navigation with the built-in GPS receiver.

This Yaesu FTA-750L includes NOAA weather band monitoring and the ability to program up to 200 memory channels with a quick and easy channel recall function. The new menu is driven by icons making it easy to navigate all the powerful features of this transceiver. In addition, the Yaesu FTA-750L can be easily programmed using the included USB programming cable and the optionally available programming software.

MIL-STD-810F standard

The Yaesu FTA-750L has been tested and meets the Military Standard MIL-STD-810F standard. As with commercial land mobile radios, all current Yaesu Airband Transceivers are tested for durability against low temperatures, high temperatures, shock, vibration, dust and rain, ensuring years of rugged use.

66-channel WAAS GPS receiver

The Yaesu FTA-750L features an integrated 66-channel WAAS GPS receiver that provides the ability to quickly store current position information and manually enter waypoints for reliable navigation. When a waypoint is activated, the navigation screen includes a compass display with bearing, course over ground, distance and speed information.

GPS position registration

The Yaesu FTA-750L includes a GPS recording function, when activated, automatically stores your position information at preset intervals. This is a great feature when backtracking is necessary.

ILS navigation (localization and glide slope )

When the Yaesu FTA-750L receives an ILS signal, the display automatically switches to the NAV band screen which shows a CDI (Course Deviation Indicator) based on the received localizer signal or glide slope signal. Course and altitude deviations are clearly shown on the color CDI display and assist with landing approach in poor weather conditions.

VOR navigation

When the Yaesu FTA-750L receives a VOR signal, the display automatically switches to the NAV band screen and shows the CDI. The top of the compass rose always indicates the direction set as the OBS. The SOG (Speed ​​Over Ground) is only displayed when the FTA-850L internal GPS unit is activated and a fix has been obtained.

Simple operation menu system

The Yaesu FTA-750L comes with an easy-to-use icon-driven menu system. The displays and menu settings are logically configured for a more intuitive user interface.

Dot Matrix LCD screen

The Yaesu FTA-750L has a large 1.7" x 1.7" (4.32 x 4.32 cm) Full Dot Matrix LCD screen with high resolution and is equipped with a bright backlight and dimmer, making the screen easy and clearly legible.

Memory with 200 channels

The Yaesu FTA-750L can store up to 200 memory channels and has the ability to use up to 15 alphanumeric characters per name.

What are ferrites?

Ferrites are ceramic compounds of the transition metals with oxygen, which are ferrimagnetic but non-conductive. Ferrites used in transformer or electromagnetic cores contain iron oxides combined with nickel, zinc and/or manganese compounds. They have a low coercivity and are called "soft ferrites" to distinguish them from "hard ferrites", which have a high coercivity and are used to make ferrite magnets. The low coercivity means that the magnetization of the material can easily change direction while dissipating very little energy (hysteresis losses). At the same time, the high resistivity of the material prevents eddy currents in the core, another source of energy loss.
