The Yaesu FT-DX10, the new long-awaited compact HF/50MHz 100W SDR transceiver from the famous quality brand Yaesu
Hybrid SDR configuration
Like the Yaesu FT-DX101 series, the new FT-DX10 uses the Yaesu Hybrid SDR configuration - Narrow Band SDR and Direct Sampling SDR. The Narrow band SDR receiver emphasizes excellent receiver performance while the Direct Sampling SDR offers a Digital Processing Real-Time Spectrum Scope.
Narrowband SDR with 3 types of roofing filters and phenomenal multi-signal reception characteristics
As with the Yaesu FT-DX101 series, the received configuration is of the Down Conversion type with the first IF at 9 MHz. This allows the inclusion of excellent narrow bandwidth crystal roof filters that have a desirable sharp "cliff edge" form factor.
Thanks to the Narrow Band SDR with the latest circuit configuration including 500 Hz, 3 kHz and 12 kHz roof filters and low-noise oscillator, the RMDR (Reciprocal Mixing Dynamic Range) reaches 116 dB or more, the close-in BDR (Blocking Dynamic Range) range) reaches 141 dB or more and 3rd IMDR (Third Order Intermodulation Dynamic Range) reaches 109 dB or more in the 14 MHz band at 2 kHz separation.
250 MHz HRDDS
HRDDS stands for High Resolution Direct Digital Synthesizer that ensures quiet and clear reception. The local circuit of the new Yaesu FT-DX10 uses the 250 MHz HRDDS method, the same as the FT-DX101 series. Thanks to the characteristics that improve the C/N ratio (carrier to noise) and the careful selection of components in the design, the phase noise characteristic of the local signal reaches an excellent value of -145 dB or less in 14 MHz at 2 kHz separation.
3DSS
3DSS stands for 3-Dimensional Spectrum Stream which works on the 5-inch TFT color screen with touch screen functionality. You can see the 3DSS display on the 5-inch full-color panel. By touching the frequency display, the numeric keypad is displayed and the active band and frequency adjustment can be set by direct input. Frequency setting and adjustment can also be performed by turning the MAIN knob or touching the scope display. As with the FT-DX101 series, MULTI display, RX control status display, Center, FIX and Cursor modes are available.
The front panel is designed for superior operational efficiency. The MPVD (Multi Purpose VFO outer Dial is a large multi-function ring around the outside of the VFO dial that allows operation of Clarifier, C/S (custom selection function) and memory channel recall.
SCU-LAN10
SCU-LAN10 stands for remote control with optional LAN Unit. This remote control of the transceiver is possible with the optional SCU-LAN10 and the SCU-LAN10 Network Remote Control Software. In addition to controlling the basic functions of the transceiver, the versatile scope displays enable advanced operations such as monitoring band conditions on a large screen at a location away from the ham shack by connecting to a home LAN network.
